Latest Updates to drlowe.com

Thanks for your interest in submitting a question to me at drlowe.com. I very much appreciate readers who take initiative in finding answers to questions they have about their problems or about maintaining good health. I'm committed to providing the most reasonable and scientifically accurate answers I can.

Please Note: There are two requirements to your question being answered promptly:

(1) If you use an abbreviation, spell out what it stands for. Some people submit questions containing abbreviations that I'm not familiar with. For example, someone may ask, "I have opch. Is this related to hypothyroidism?" There are hundreds of abbreviations within the medical lexicon, and sometimes the same abbreviation stands for several different terms. If I'm not familiar with an abbreviation, I'll skip over the question and move on to another. Please don't include an abbreviation without stipulating at least once what it stands for. For example, I often use the abbreviation ITHR (inadequate thyroid hormone regulation). The first time I use the abbreviation in a letter, I include the words the letters represent in parentheses, as above.

(2) Give a name at the end of your question, if only a first one. The answer to a question is often dependent on the sex of the person who submits it. Without knowing your sex, I may not be able to answer your question without going into the different ramifications for each sex. A name usually lets me know whether the person is male or female. In addition, though, when I open an email that doesn't give a name, I feel that I'm reading the words of some disembodied entity. I don't feel comfortable answering the email and usually move on others from people who've given their names.

Thanks for your cooperation. I'll do my best to get to your question as soon as possible. Please submit your question to me at AskDrLowe@drlowe.com.
