An Alternative to
Return Visits to
Boulder, Colorado

Many patients choose an alternative to making return visits to Boulder during their treatment. The patient must have a local physician who'll cooperate in the treatment. Usually, the patient comes to Boulder for only one evaluation. After that visit to Boulder, the patient continues treatment with the local physician in consultation with Dr. Gina Honeyman-Lowe and Dr. Lowe. During the patient's treatment, the doctors assess the patient's changing metabolic status and makes recommendations to the treating physician for changes in the patient's care. The patient assessments are based on intermittent evaluations and communications with the patient. During the patients treatment, services of Dr. Honeyman-Lowe and Dr. Lowe are billed at a rate of $120.00 per hour ($2.00 per minute). The fees for the initial evaluation in Boulder are posted on another page.

An Alternative to
Coming to Boulder 
at All 

Some patients don't come to Boulder at all. Instead, Dr. Honeyman-Lowe and Dr. Lowe consult long distance with the patient and the patient's local doctor. All communications are by telephone, e-mail, fax, and snail mail.

In this type of consulting relationship, Dr. Honeyman-Lowe or Dr. Lowe must becoming familiar with the patient's history and condition. They accomplish this by reviewing the patient's medical records and by evaluating forms they have the patient fills out. The fee for this initial assessment is the same as for a case history review. After the initial assessment, the doctors' services are billed at a rate of $120.00 per hour ($2.00 per minute).
