The Metabolic Treatment A
Guide to
|
Dr. Gina Honeyman-Lowe and Dr. John C. Lowe provide metabolic rehabilitation for several classifications of patients: those with fibromyalgia symptoms, hypothyroidism, thyroid hormone resistance, adrenal insufficiency, chronic pain, chronic fatigue, and others. We also provide physical treatment for myofascial pain syndrome (trigger points). Two Options for Patients. Patients have two options in being treated by or being guided through treatment by Dr. Honeyman-Lowe and Dr. Lowe. First, the patient can choose for Dr. Honeyman-Lowe and Dr. Lowe to guide him or her through treatment while the patient is under the care of a local home-town doctor. Nowadays, many patients opt for this long-distance consulting relationship. Long-distance guidance can be highly effective when the patient has a cooperative local doctor. It's not necessary, however, that the hypothyroid patients has a cooperative local doctor. Second, the patient can come for treatment to my clinic in Boulder, Colorado. The patient who comes to Boulder usually does so several times before he or she completes treatment. Many patients come only for an initial visit to the Center; they complete their treatment at home through long-distance guidance by Dr. Honeyman-Lowe and Dr. Lowe. Patients from foreign countries, however, usually come to Boulder once for an extended time. We are flexible in working out arrangements that make treatment possible for patients who can or cannot travel to Boulder. Different arrangements can work for different patients as long as they meet all the basic requirements for effective care.
