Why We
Continue to Consult
with
People and
Publish drlowe.com
We consult with people and
continue drlowe.com to provide scientifically- and logically-sound information that enlightens others
and ourselves. Providing the information is our way to help them light their way
from confusion, frustration, ill
health, and suffering to a healthy, happy life.
We understand, of course, that obtaining and using scientifically- accurate
information isn't the
only solution to everyone's heath problems. Some need professional
services that can be provided only by well-trained specialists. But
for too many people, lack of relevant information is crucial to
them recovering their health. Unfortunately, more often than not,
their procedure-oriented conventional practitioners are not able to
give them the information. We make ourselves available, as much as
we can, to provide that information. We no longer practice
clinically because licensed practice severely limited our ability to
freely provide people with information they needed. We now continue
our clinical and other research, and we provide information on what
we have learned through consultations with patients, practicing
clinicians, and people wanting to optimize their health.
We especially focus on providing practically useful information
for those who have chosen to take their health into their own hands.
We are dedicated to providing form them scientifically-accurate
information that will aid them in making practical, health-inducing
and health-sustaining information.
Limitations of Conventional Medicine. High tech medicine and fast-paced managed care in the US, and
socialized medicine in many other countries, are efforts to help
more people free themselves from disease and to become healthy again.
Tragically, as Ivan Illich virtually irrefutably showed, [1] such efforts have led to far
more medical harm than good.
For the most
part, this style of medical care has left educating patients out of the equation.
One of our aims is to compensate for that deficiency of
conventional medicine. We do so, again, by providing patients,
clients, clinicians,
and others with as much
scientifically-based educational
information as we can that is personally relevant to them.
What We Do for Clients. In line with our educational
philosophy, we see our consulting job as a six-part interactive process.
It involves listening, learning about the individual client, explaining
what we can, collaboratively exchanging ideas,
helping people decide their best course of action, and teaching
clients how to properly carry out their self-guided health care. During
the interactive process, we give our clients the time they need to express their thoughts and feelings,
and we ever do our best to understand them as individuals.
We help them understanding what their test results
mean and how these may relate to their health problems. We explain various
causes of poor health
and help clients design their individualized health plans to
correct, compensate, or bypass the causes so that they improve or
fully recover.
Clinicians. With clinicians, our job is to share current scientific
findings, especially within the field of thyroidology, but also in related areas of
study, such as adrenal disorders and natural medicine treatments. We
also explain the clinical protocols Dr. Lowe's research of
twenty-five years taught him.
